Welcome
Update for 05-14-12
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day, and I hope all you mothers felt as special as I did.
We have set the date for the weekend of May, Friday 25th. and Saturday 26th. We thought it best because of the long Yard Sale starting in Sweetwater this weekend, since so many go to it now. So that will give you the opportunity to come to our sale, too. Mark this on your calendars and I'll send all of you the email notice by Tuesday, 22th, with all the final information. If you aren't on my email list, just look on the site for the email and complete it, or give one of us a call and give it to us and I'll add it to the list. We don't want you to miss this (and) or others to come.
Here are a few more pictures to enjoy. For this to be a partial down sizing / estate sale, we sure do have a house full, as you can see. Please note the old books are "Library of American History" and the last date of 1900, I hope you can see in the photos. ( I researched them and found them on EBay and they were selling for high dollar) they are in excellent condition, too. Beautiful covers.
Enjoy and as always, if you have any questions, give one of us a call and we'll try to help you as best we can.
Till later and May God Bless,
Nancy
Update 05-11-12
Just to let all of you know how excited we are about this sale. Sandy Ammons, Bobby & Susan Copeland, and I are going to be together on this sale. TALK ABOUT FUN !!!! We always do enjoy our sales, but all of us have never been together like this. So this is a special invite to all of our customers, Sandy's, Bobby's, and mine. ( and bring your friends also ) You all know how long we have been in this business, well, there are several items here that none of us have ever come across.
As mentioned before about this house being the family home, there's a little boy's lamp made of chalk and it's of an Indian sitting on a horse, very unique piece. ( the little boy is now 90 yrs old ) and it was his favorite. Also, his baby dish. There's a little child's porcelain bed pan. A pair of lace up High Top ladies shoes, in excellent condition. A beautiful Fenton signed Burmese lamp. Some great old books. Two Wedding Cake Toppers, ( some icing still evident on one of them. ) probably from both of the marriages. These are some of the items of Unique-Ness.
The lady of the house told us her mother lived to 108 yrs. old. She was born in 1893, lived thru the 1900's and died in 2001. She was being interviewed once and the reporter asked her, " Do you have any favorite, most interesting thing that you've seen over all these years?" and her response was," Yes, they all were." ( Can you imagine ? ) Several of the 1800's pieces of furniture belonged to her Grandmother, too.
You know there will be items not visible in the pictures, but all of the furniture you can see and I know you're going to be looking forward to coming and seeing everything.
I'll just mention some things for you in case you wish to look anything up before coming. The blue crystal is Fostoria, "Chintz" and the china is Noritake, Blue Dawn # 622 .Some vintage depression pieces, great glass Decanters, collectible Cups & Saucers, vintage hats, ladies handkerchief's, vintage lace and crocheted pieces, including two Table Cloths ( probably mother's and grandmother's handywork ) Football programs of the 50's, vintage Hymnals, Menu's with wonderful pictures and other items brought back from travels.
Ladies clothing size 8 - 10 and custom made shoes size 5 / 5 1/2 / & 6 AAAA. Very small, so small they had to be made from this company in Alabama. If you know of anyone wearing that size, please let them know. Some vintage Shadowline Lingerie.
Lucite Purses of the 50's- 60's in like new condition. Also, leather & beaded purses. Beautiful belts & scarfs. Costume Jewelry.
There's beautiful silk arrangements, Guy Coheleach and several other great pictures. Music boxes and two of Thomas Kincaid. Dept. D items, collectible Santa's, National Geographic of the 60's - 70's. Floor lamp and several other table lamps of different styles.
The Fischer Piano was bought in 1930 by mother and the lady of the house said she wanted to play the popular music and mother wanted her to play classical, so she choose not to play it much.
We have some primitive pieces ( not pictured yet ) but I'll get them on in a day or two.
This sale is a Down Sizing - Partial Estate Sale, and we don't have all the appliances and or other furniture pieces like we would in a full Estate Sale. However, the house is packed full and in the outside building , too. You certainly don't want to miss this one. We are shooting for the weekend after mother's day weekend, if nothing happens, but I will post it in a day or two when everything gets finalized.
Enjoy the pictures, and as always, if you have any questions you can call -
